If you follow my blog you have probably seen that I hosted a workshop by someone who I really admire, Angie Monson. I knew she was an incredible photographer, but after meeting and shooting alongside her, hearing her share so much of herself with us, it was clear that she is also a really fun and sweet person who I can call a friend, along with all the other women who were there as well…you know who you are!
Hosting a workshop is a lot of work, but I was more than happy to do it for Angie who accepted my invitation to come to the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been a professional photographer for 18 years, but this was my first photography workshop, and it was just what I needed to get inspired to photograph families in a new light. I loved seeing Angie’s perspective, her process from start to finish, and getting to know 13 other women. It was truly a treat, and I’m so excited to incorporate all that I learned into future photo sessions! Here are images from one of the sweet families we photographed.

Could this family be any more beautiful and charming with their gorgeous red hair and big smiles?!
