Welcome to the world Emily! | Angela Lang Bay Area Family Photographer

Emily’s family paid me the highest compliment by just showing up to my Oakland studio. They made the trek with their 7 month-old baby girl all the way from Menlo Park. I’m so happy they chose me to capture their sweet daughter’s many expressions. How adorable is it that her whole face lights up when she smiles?

If you have found yourself admiring the intricate brocade on her dress (yes I had to look that up on The Sewing Dictionary and I’m still not sure it’s the right word), it is the handiwork of her very talented grandmother who makes dresses for her! Lucky girl 🙂

Thanks Angela! We thoroughly enjoyed our session with you. You were amazing at capturing some great moments–despite the tears and crankiness that inevitably come along with ‘forcing’ a baby to put on a fancy outfit and sit and smile! You were speedy–even changing lenses! And my mom loved seeing her handiwork in print. It is called “smocking” and the roses are made with ribbons –called “ribbon work.” She is talented! I keep telling her she should start her own business.
We are having a hard time picking–there are so many great pictures. Thanks!
