Every year I donate my photography and time to public and private schools for fundraiser auctions to help raise money. I’ve been doing this for a decade because it is a way to give back to the community.
This was a fun project that I recently photographed based on Andy Goldsworthy‘s artwork which you have probably seen. Below are 2 auction projects that mimicked his art that, for this project, was created and assembled by the Kindergartners (scroll down to see the original and theirs). My job was to document the process as well as take photos of it completed to sell at the school’s auction.
I incorporated the hands of all the children that worked on it as an extension of the art piece. Each child painted a rock and put it into the design. A little side note is that most of the girls coordinated the color of their rock to the color of their outfit…so funny!
