Photo Tip #13 – Shoot candidly | Bay Area Wedding and Family Photographer

So many people are conditioned to pose for the camera with a toothy grin at the “Say cheese!” approach. The dictionary description for candid that is applicable to photography is sincere, informal, unposed, and honest. Next time you photograph your family give the candid approach a try.  A thoughtful glance, a child following their curiosity, and even a tired cry can be just as meaningful and more genuine than smiling at the camera (although that is totally cute too so do both!)
