This was the wedding of the year! What a sweet and gorgeous couple these two are. Amy and Luke had a spiritual ceremony in the company of 200 guests at Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley – they were both so excited to be getting married. Luke got ready with his groomsmen at Thomas Fogarty Winery. I especially liked photographing them in front of the beautiful church doors that had the Biblical characters of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John carved into the wood which made a stunning background. Afterward, everyone headed over to the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto for an amazing and fun night of celebrating. The images that do not have my watermark were taken by my wonderful second shooter, Christina. Amy and Luke’s glowing review may be read in a few blog entries above this one.

Amy and Luke left the sweetest review on Yelp:
“When I first found out about Angela, after researching endlessly online, I was not only impressed with the truly incredible photographs on her website, but I was also attracted to the overwhelming positive feedback from brides that she had worked with in the past. Through reading these consistently upbeat reviews, I became hopeful that she would be available for my wedding day. Much to my luck, she was, and as soon as I connected with her through the phone, email, and an in-person consultation, I could understand why the reviews seemed too good to be true. Angela truly is!
While Angela maintains the utmost professionalism during the wedding day, she also brings a sense of calm and confidence that seems to harmonize the various events. She has a great way of connecting with people of all ages, and thus everyone in the bridal party, from the little flower girls to the precious grandparents, felt at ease during the events. Angela’s people skills bring out the best in people, and thus, the photos represent a truly relaxed and authentic day. Although I feel that every vendor is important for a wedding day, I am firmly convinced that finding the right photographer is the most crucial task.
With Angela as your photographer, you are essentially obtaining another “maid of honor” in disguise. Angela not only worked with me on the typical aspects of photography, but she also came alongside me during the initial planning process to ensure that the entire day would run smoothly. She provided detailed support and was patient and immediately receptive to any adjustments along the way. She was also honest and insightful about different obstacles that a bride should anticipate on any given day, which is very important. The day of the wedding, Angela did an amazing job of capturing special moments without us even noticing. She and her excellent second shooter, Christina, worked carefully to blend in, while also positioning themselves in the right places at the right times. This means so much to us now that we are beginning to look at the photos.
I would like to comment on one last thing that I appreciate so much about having Angela as my photographer. Angela continues to function as a “maid of honor” in the after-math of the wedding. I have been very grateful for her feedback on various parts of the wedding, and I have been impressed with her continued communication along with her instant email replies! I know that I can trust her for the highest quality of work, but I also know that I can depend on her for the most genuine support. This combination of professional talent and pleasant character means a lot to a bride. If you want a “maid of honor” in disguise who is ridiculously good at capturing those important moments, call Angela!”
